  • Dry needling is a specialized therapeutic technique used by physical therapists to treat myofascial pain and dysfunction. This intervention involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific trigger points or surrounding tissue, which are often associated with pain and discomfort. By targeting these areas, dry needling aims to release tension, improve circulation, and promote the healing process.

During a dry needling session, the clinician will first conduct a thorough assessment to identify the affected region and determine the most appropriate treatment plan. It is often used as a tool in the therapists tool box and in conjunction with other therapies such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and electrical stimulation.

  • Ergonomic assessments are systematic evaluations designed to optimize the interaction between individuals and their work environment, promoting efficiency and reducing the risk of injury. These assessments involve thorough analysis of workstations, tools, and tasks to identify potential ergonomic hazards and inefficiencies. By examining factors such as posture, repetitive motions, and workstation design, professionals can recommend modifications that enhance comfort and productivity. The ultimate goal of ergonomic assessments is to create a safer, healthier workplace that supports the well-being of employees while minimizing the likelihood of musculoskeletal disorders and other health issues associated with poor ergonomic practices.
