Frequently Asked Questions

  • It’s exactly what it sounds like! Instead of going to the clinic, the clinic comes to you. Most people elect to provide treatment in their own home. This allows the patient to feel completely relaxed during their sessions and not be limited by transportation or travel time. I just need some space to set up a treatment table and will bring everything needed for a successful visit. Other potential settings are work or neighborhood/apartment gym spaces.

  • The initial evaluation is the important first step towards recovery. This why we perform a 90 min thorough intake and physical assessment to discover the root cause of your symptoms. We will also include a small treatment session and provide homework in the form of Do’s and Don’ts and an early exercise program to get the ball rolling.

  • We are currently in the process of participating with Medicare. At this time, we are out of network with all other insurance plans. These means we do not file claims to your insurance company. We operate as a fee-for-service model. All payments are due in full at the time of service. However, we are happy to provide you with a superbill of services rendered that you can submit to your insurance plan for potential out of network reimbursement.

  • We have a very high standard of care and always believe our patients deserve that level of treatment. Unfortunately, being in-network with insurances does not allow us to treat patients in accordance with out mission and our values. This is why we have elected to be an out of network provider. We also believe in upfront pricing (see Pricing under services tab). We do accept credit card, HSA and FSA cards, and check as forms of payment.

  • A referral from a physician is no longer required in the state of Virginia. This means no referral is needed to receive physical therapy care. However, if you have Medicare and signed plan of care is still required.
